U.S General Services Administration, Office of Inspector General
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) is an independent organization in GSA. Our mission is to detect and deter waste,
fraud, abuse, and misconduct GSA and to promote, efficiency, and effectiveness. OIG
audits, investigations, reviews, evaluations, and inspections help identify ways to
improve GSA’s work. The OIG promotes accountability by investigating possible wrongdoing
in connection with GSA programs, operations, and personnel. The OIG helps ensure the
integrity and efficiency of GSA’s work. These functions matter, in part, because they
show the public that GSA is a proper steward—guarding both public resources and trust.
