Class presentations 

If you would like to request a member of the Career Center to make a presentation, please read through our presentation policies and complete the following form. We will contact you to confirm the request. Please note, presentation hours are from 8am (start time) to 9pm (end time), Monday - Thursday, and 8am-7pm Friday. The Career Center does not serve individuals or organizations that are unless affiliated with Missouri State.

Class assignments

You may choose to assign your students to interact with the Career Center for various reasons. If you would like to request a class assignment partnership with the Career Center please read through our class assignment policies (page 2) and complete the following form. We will contact you to confirm the request.

Faculty/Staff Resource: Writing Letters of Recommendation

From time-to-time, you may be asked to write a letter of recommendation for a student applying to a job, internship, or graduate school. Your voice is important in ensuring the applicant has a strong chance in the candidate pool, and the Career Center has compiled some resources from around the internet to help you. 


Presentation policies

Following are important policies regarding Career Center presentations:

  • A minimum of two weeks' notice is required to process a presentation request.
  • Career Center presentation hours are from 8:00 a.m. (start time) to 9:00 p.m. (end time), Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Friday.
  • A minimum of 10 students is required to receive approval for a non-class presentation. Student organizations that request presentations during non-work hours (after 5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday) must submit a roster of participating students to the presenting Career Center staff member 24–48 hours before the event.
  • The Career Center reserves the right to cancel or modify the delivery of requested material for presentation requests in the following situations: a) outside of Career Center business hours, b) do not meet minimum participation requirements, and c) Career Center staff/GA is not available for the requested non-work hours presentation.
