Career fair preparation workshops

Career Expo 2019 is hosted by the Career Center, so the workshops are not a requirement in order to attend the event. These workshops do NOT meet the COB Career Fair waiver option.

Career Fair/ Education Career Fair 2018 Preparation Workshop

Career Expo / Education Day 2018 preparation workshops

This year, Career Expo and Education Day are combined into one event 2018 on Wednesday, February 28. Prepare for the fair by attending a preparation workshop.

Learn what to expect from a career fair, how to research the employers and graduate schools that will be attending the fair, and how to interact and follow up with employers and representatives. These workshops will provide tips on ways to make your career fair experience successful for networking and searching for jobs, internships, or graduate schools.

The main topics of the workshop include—

  • employer expectations of students and alumni
  • how to talk to the employers
  • appropriate attire for the career fair
  • what to bring with you to the career fair

Please note: Students are not required to participate in a workshop in order to attend the career fair, but students get more successful results by attending a workshop. The workshops are free to attend, but registration is requested. You also may view the Career Preparation Workshop Video (closed captioning available).
