WORKSHOPS

Résumé Madness

Receive a quick review and tips on your résumé. All day event held twice a semester in various locations around campus. Bring a hard copy of your résumé and visit with a member of the Career Center staff.  More information

Networking Etiquette Dinner

Held every semester, the Networking Etiquette Dinner is an opportunity for students and alumni to network with employer sponsors while learning proper etiquette for a business meal. Dinner includes soup, salad, entree with a vegetable, starch, rolls, and dessert. Vegetarian meals are available upon request. More information

Mock Interview Day

All day event held each fall. Sign up for a time slot that works with your schedule and go through a mock interview with a representative from an area employer or Career Center member. More information

Exploring Careers Panel

The Exploring Careers Panel is held each semester for students, alumni, faculty, and staff to learn more about careers in the spotlighted industries. More information

Speed Networking Event: Life After Missouri State

This event will assist students in being more prepared to network and learn how to access the hidden job market. Alumni and employees from local businesses will participate in an hour of networking during the  “Speed Networking” sessions and provide students the opportunity to further network with those in their career field.  More information

CAREER FAIRS

Fall Career Fair

Fall Career Fair is a free event for exhibitors, the purpose of which is to introduce students to part- and full-time opportunities and internships in any field. This is available for employers in all industries. More information

COB Career Fair

The COB Career Fair in the fall combines Accounting Day, Business Day, and Computer Day into a single event held at the University Plaza Convention Center. The event, hosted by the College of Business and managed by the Career Center is open to COB students searching for an internship or full-time position. More information

Career Expo

The annual spring career fair is held at JQH Arena. Open to all students and alumni from all majors, the employers in attendance are national, regional and local companies from all industries, excluding the field of education. These employers will be looking to for full-time and part-time employees, as well as interns. This career fair is sponsored in consortium with Drury University, Evangel University, Southwest Baptist University, and College of the Ozarks. More information

Education Day

Annual Spring career fair held at University Plaza Convention Center. Open to all students and alumni from all majors, the employers in attendance are national, regional and local school districts looking for teaching candidates. This career fair is sponsored in consortium with Drury University, Evangel University, Southwest Baptist University, and College of the Ozarks. More information
