Salary Survey’s Top Employers by Average Salary Offer, Number of Offers

Even in light of the economy’s recent downturn, there is still good news for the Class of 2008. The Spring 2008 issue of NACE’s Salary Survey shows that, for the most part, average starting salary offers to 2007-2008 graduates are on the rise.
By average starting salary offers, those to chemical engineers ($63,616) and computer engineers ($59,962) were the highest. Meanwhile, engineering services firms made the most offers to members of the Class of 2008, followed by employers in accounting services and consulting services.
