STAYING IN TOUCH

From the Career Center
W
e will be in contact with you several times during the semester. We will mail you two work reports, which provide us with information concerning you and your experience. Your second work report will also contain a supervisor’s evaluation form. It’s very important that you give this to your boss in plenty of time to get it back to us before the due date, because this sometimes constitutes a percentage of your final grade.

Press Releases
If you would like a notice sent to your hometown newspaper about your co-op or internship position, please complete an Missouri State Publicity Form & send it directly to the Missouri State News Services Office.

The Standard
For financial reasons, we can’t send you a copy of The Standard each week. However, you can read it on line at http://www.the-standard.org/

Drop Us a Note!
In addition to the “formal” work reports, we always enjoy hearing from you. So, please send us a postcard, a short letter, or email if you want!

Intern Status
A computer code is entered onto the Missouri State database for off-campus semester length interns.  This action identifies them as a student in good standing, protects them from early loan payment claims, and qualifies them to continue to be carried on family insurance plans.  If interns receive notices from loan or insurance companies, please contact the Missouri State Records office at 836-5519

ABOUT REGISTRATION

When you are off campus, the Career Center  Legislative Intern Advisor will register your succeeding classes for you.  As soon as it is available, we will mail your registration form and let you know when the course schedule will be available on the Missouri State Homepage. Send your completed and signed registration to the co-op office and we will register you. Check your registration time and get your materials to us by that time. Seniors may need to fax their registration requests to us in order to register on time.

Please send the following

  • List of requested classes, with alternates.
  • A daytime phone number.
  • Any permission forms, special instructions, etc. that we might need.

Since you are automatically enrolled in the deferred payment plan, you do not need to send any money with your registration. After registering we will send you your class schedule and invoice. Be sure to pay your first payment by the due date, otherwise your classes will be dropped.
