This summer, the Career Center is offering two sections of IDS 120: Exploring Majors and Careers, and for the first time, one of the sections will be an online course.
IDS 120 is designed to assist students in learning the process for making meaningful academic and career choices that are aligned with their unique strengths, interests, values, and personality. Students complete a variety of self-assessments, engage in major and career exploration, participate in decision-making activities, and learn about workplace issues involving professional behaviors, skills, and ethics. Class of 2013 Job Outlook - a report from NACE
Respondents to the Job Outlook 2013 survey are reporting that they plan to hire 13 percent more new college graduates in 2012-13 than they did in 2011-12. Hiring appears to be on the upswing as this year’s anticipated increase is higher than both the original and final hiring projections for the Class of 2012.

The professional association connects more than 5,200 college career services professionals at nearly 2,000 colleges and universities nationwide, and more than 3,000 HR/staffing professionals focused on college relations and recruiting.
The mission of the Career Center is to provide professional assistance and intervention to Missouri State students and alumni through the use of career counseling, internship and full-time job searches, and vocational and educational information, so they may make insightful career decisions.
